Sun for a weekend break Anjou has one of the best climates of any département in the northern half of France, with its mixture of influences from the Atlantic ocean and the continent. As from May, the area benefits from a very good amount of sunshine, and it generally enjoys warm, but not overhot summers. The autumn season can be particularly mild. For cycling vacation or a weekend break, come to discover troglodyte, loire valley castle and wine, Anjou is the best destination all around the year. As well as coming by ferry and car from Britain, you can take the Eurostar train from London to either Paris or Lille, and then change for Angers railway station.
